Selby Family Clinic - Obstetrics

Obstetrics

Selby Family Clinic offers a Partnership Maternity Care Program (PMCP) for women having their baby at the Angliss Hospital. PMCP is an innovative midwife-led program which provides you with midwife care throughout your pregnancy and the birth of your baby under the care and direction of the doctor.

Our midwives, Sally, Sylvia, Julie, Linda and Sharon, who work in delivery suite at the Angliss Hospital, provide ante and post natal care from Chandler House, which is located a few doors from the Angliss Hospital. You may consult with Dr Lindenmayer at Chandler House during the midwife sessions. Doctors at Selby Family Clinic also provide medical supervision at Selby.

A $250 Booking Fee is payable by week 16 of your pregnancy. A $50 discount applies if this fee is paid on time.

PMCP Philosophy

We believe that pregnancy and childbirth is a normal and natural process. By developing a close relationship with our midwives you are empowered to make active choices about the birth of your baby. A positive, confident approach and the support of caring, experienced midwives help to make this a fulfilling, happy and safe event.

The Midwives

The birth of your baby is one of the most emotional experiences you and your partner will ever have. We encourage the involvement and participation of your partner, family or friend. We hope you will feel confident, focussed and relaxed, knowing a midwife will be with you during your labour with a doctor readily available to assist if needed.
